Jay Chou - his MV in the UK and wedding ceremony in York

Taiwanese famous film-maker, music-producer, and male singer—Jay Chou—had made his many MVs in Europe. He has been to London, Seven Sisters Country Park in the UK, and his romantic wedding in 2015 took place at Selby abbey (York) and then celebrated his after-wedding party at Castle Howard, and finally this couple backed to York City to have a sightseeing. 

Afterwards, many of his fans followed his footsteps to pay a visit to these places. However, Jay did not take his wedding photos in the UK; instead, he went to Germany, France and Czech to produce his perfect wedding photos. 

With Castles as backdrops, his wedding photos absolutely showcase nostalgic and stately ambiances. Yet, if this lovely couple considered the meaning and the beauty of roses, maybe the UK could be the best place for composing of the image of love. 

There are not so many rose gardens in the public park at York City, but just a perfect one could be very worthy of the visit to York. Enjoy British Summer in York

York City is well known about its medieval style from ancient city walls to black stone roads. Although there are not so many famous parks and gardens as those in South England, many local people maintain their house gardens with beautiful flowers, as well as visit two main attracting places to enjoy their summer flowers in sunny days:

☀Rowntree Park

It is opened by local entrepreneur and philanthropist Joseph Rowntree.

Near the city centre, it offers different areas where people play sports and picnicking.

Featured by a large lake in the centre, this park is home to many ducks, swans, and geese. 

If you visit the park, take your time to have a tea in the tearoom by the lake.

In fact, it is a small library as well, so you can image you drink a cup of tea with a slice of cake reading free newspapers and interesting books in the lovely afternoon.

☀York Museum Gardens

Located within the city centre, York Museum Garden is one of the key tourist attractions in York city.

The award-winning museum has a beautiful backyard where hosts the vast botanical collection and wildlife with many species of bird.  

More interestingly, it is a place in the city centre that you can bring with your lunch boxes, find your own corner, and sit down to feel you are part of this big zoo.

National Railway Museum in the UK

The railway system in Great Britain is known as the oldest in the world and has its prominent role in developing the local economy and bringing tourists from all over the world to travel within cities. The intensive railway networks privatized between 1994 and 1997 nowadays are operated by different companies. 

Does British Rail system always punctual? When I lived in Brighton, Southern rail seemed often strike (><). Besides, according to BBC report (2017), ‘the Office of Rail and Road said 12.3% of trains - nearly one in eight - were not on time last year.’ What if a delay of 30 minutes or more was made to your train journey? Luckily, you can claim for a delayed compensation to reduce complaints. 

Many ancient British trains, glinting brightly without any rusting metal appearances, display gracefully in National Railway Museum for providing people with a good chance to recall the past days. 

National Railway Museum is one of the most popular attractions at York. Every weekend, there are many families coming to visit the place where many antique trains were honourably retired from duty and well maintained to tell their glory history.

There are also some memorable trains that originated from Japan and Switzerland. Each of them was designed for different transportation purposes, such as travelling or medical and represents as a sophisticated masterpiece of design in industrial technology.

While the train is the simplest, most convenient and cost-effective way to travel from one city to another in the UK (also in Europe), the train fares have risen since 2011 and could be notoriously expensive. To find cheap tickets, there are some tips suggested by the Telegraph (2018).

I still remember a post on a bus, saying 'only the fool will pay double price for the same item' So Let’s be smart! Book your journey earlier and reduce the travelling cost.
