Brick Lane in East London: Beigel Bake, Market, and Free Range

😀Yummy Bagel and vintage market
This yummy Bagel store is located in the East End of London. Time Out London magazine gives its freshly baked filled bagels three stars.

However, I bet that it wins over the local’s heart more than three for these reasons:

First, Beigel Bake is 24-hour open in Brick Lane, which discontinuously serves everyone with hot bread pulled fresh from the ovens; therefore, this day and night service make the city life more convenient that clubbers and taxi drivers can enjoy hot food during the night. Second, value-for-money is extra important in London as its living cost tends to be more expensive than that in other cities, and thank God! Beigel Bake offers street food vibes and affordable snacks, not to mention, the bagel’s pleasant taste per se.

So what do locals recommend and love most among all the filled bagels? Most say they indulge in the Jewish salt beef, the classic smoked salmon and cream cheese. I have tried, and the bread is so soft, the filling is really savoury; however, I was starting to feel a bit thirsty after eating.

Except for yummy bagels, this area is full of art and cultural fun to explore. I then come down the way to duck into nearby Old Spitalfields Market to find a drink for yourself and stroll around the market booths to search some vintage pieces of stuff.

🎠Street art and Free Range art exhibition
In London, Brick Lane is one of the best streets to see Graffiti. I live in Brighton before, where is also featured by its street Graffiti. But the theme and style of graffiti art in Brick Lane seems to be more vibrant, wild, and exotic.

The street art is bursting with visual images and creative ideas. You can feel that art is all around you from street wall-paintings to restaurants’ interior decorations.

In particular, the art showcase called Free Range at the Old Truman Brewery is another highlight in Brick Lane, which is open to the public to display undergraduate or graduate talent art masterpieces.

I am particularly interested in some artworks and part of creators and designers are on-site to provide introduction their original inspirations, so I got a chance to understand the motif of the art.

By the way, they also offer visitors free soft drinks, making this indoor space a better place to enjoy art and cool air in summer.
