When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life
‘Why, Sir, you
find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when
a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that
life can afford.’ — Samuel Johnson
My one-month life experience
in London started on 25 June, living nearby Holloway Road.

Although I have
been to London several times, this is the first time I try to ‘live’ in London
more than just visiting. Life in the capital is not so easy. I have experienced
the most crowded traffic times on the scorching Tube and stepped in dangerous
parts of a city, and very often professional thieves could be as many as litter.
However, London is a colourful and magnificent global city that integrates a
rich diversity of food, language, buildings, people and activities. I can
imagine that being a Londoner without going 'here and there' to spark your
ideas and interests is totally impossible.

For tourists,
there are so many popular attractions in London waiting to explore, including
Coca-Cola London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, the historic Tower of London,
Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Tower Bridge. For locals, there are some places
that are not on the top popular list but offer holiday- vibes that they can enjoy
a happy time.

Therefore, living
in London as a local, I started to eat, drink, see, walk and wander around in
London, including famous tourist attractions and interesting street corners. I then had an adventure trip to Brixton, Brick Lane, visited London’s
financial area- Bank & Monument, walked from Holland Park to Green Park and visited Kew
Garden and Borough Market.

When staying in London, never miss Piccadilly Circus, where many Harry Potter's fans wait to experience film locations. I chose to watch the musical: come from away there.
Surely, I won't miss the chance to have an authentic Taiwanese bubble milk tea in a Taiwanese store.
